Once you’ve selected a freelancer, you simply pay the deposit, and it will be kept safe in escrow until the funds are ready to be released. How to Choose a Freelancer?

How to Choose a Freelancer?

Finding freelancers is a breeze at People Per Hour. Clients can search from the listing of curated freelancers (tens of thousands are available) online. It is possible to search by category, and filter by location, per hour rate, CERT ranking, projects completed, available now, or has portfolio. The listing of categories for freelancers includes the following options:

  • Design
  • Writing & Translation
  • Video, Photo & Audio
  • Business Support
  • Social Media
  • Sales & Marketing
  • Software Development & Mobile
  • Website Development

The on-site blog also provides additional information on how to hire a freelancer for business owners. Each freelancer has a profile, hourly rates, and contact information. Business owners can see the list of skills, the freelancer’s portfolio of completed projects, and independent reviews of their work. By perusing a user’s profile, it is possible to find the best match for your needs.

Revisions

Revisions

With respect to revisions, buyers can request multiple revisions until they are happy with the quality of the work. The seller (freelancer) is obligated to provide the necessary revisions to the buyer until the buyer is content with the work. It is a good idea to enter into negotiations with a clear understanding of how many revisions you expect from the freelancer (for example 3 maximum) before funds will be released to the freelancer. It is important to limit the number of revisions by thoroughly vetting freelancers. The fewer the revisions, the quicker the professional work can be completed. This is only possible by selecting the best freelancer for the job.

Payments

A wide range of payment processing services is accepted by People Per Hour. These include Visa, MasterCard, bank transfer, PayPal, PPH wallets, Moneybookers, Paysafecard, Trustpay, Trustly, Moneta, and scores of others. Payment fees on PayPal and card deposits are 5% + 0.60p with a minimum of 50 p. Bank transfers are free of charge, but they can take up to 7 days to reach the wallet.

Cancellation

People Per Hour strongly recommends that sellers do not cancel requests from buyers. If sellers (freelancers) experience difficulty with buyers, they are advised to contact the buyer ASAP. A buyer has the right to cancel the job, and a seller must always request feedback as to why the job is being cancelled.   Freelancers are required to contact buyers that wish to cancel, and request payment from them. Disputes can be raised with customer support if payment has not been made or services have not been rendered by buyers/sellers. As for refunds, there is a cancellation & refund policy in effect. Buyers can request refunds and sellers must respond within 3 days.
